Restless Excellence Has a Voice Now

Restless Excellence Has a Voice Now

If you’ve been reading this newsletter for a while, you already know Restless Excellence is not about doing more, but asking better questions like:

  • What does sustainable excellence look like?

  • When does commitment quietly turn into overextension?

  • Who pays the cost when systems perform well but people don’t?

This LinkedIn newsletter has been my place the last several weeks to slow those questions down, notice patterns, and name what many high-performing leaders feel but rarely say out loud.  I’ve long felt the pull to take those conversations one step further.

That’s why Restless Excellence is now a podcast

The podcast is an extension of this space and not a pivot away from it.  It’s where my reflection gets a voice and leadership, work, identity, and sustainability are explored in real time.  Listen and subscribe to Restless Excellence on your preferred podcast platform.

What this podcast is (and what it isn’t)

I want to set a clear expectation before you press play. Restless Excellence podcast is not scripted thought leadership nor me arriving with fully resolved answers. Much of what you’ll hear is me thinking out loud in real time lifting directly from my leadership journal, observations from practice/lived experiences, and questions I’m actively sitting with. Some episodes will feel like a leadership note spoken aloud with and encouraging opportunity to pause as patterns are being named in real time.

You may hear me circling an idea instead of landing it neatly and intentionally sharing uncertainties alongside clarity.  This is because leadership, especially in complex systems, rarely unfolds in clean conclusions.

Why share it this way?

Too many leadership conversations are edited into certainty after the fact.  Real leadership work happens before getting that clarity. Especially in those uncomfortable moments when you realize something no longer fits but you’re not yet sure what replaces it. The Restless Excellence podcast lives in that in-between…It’s a safe space for reflection without urgency, honesty without performance, and leaders who are willing to listen to their own thinking.

What you can expect to explore

On Restless Excellence podcast, we’ll continue to talk about:

  • Burnout without blaming individuals

  • Capacity-building instead of endurance worship

  • The invisible labor high performers are praised for and quietly harmed by

  • Leading inside demanding systems without losing yourself

This is not a productivity podcast nor a checklist to fix yourself. It’s about noticing what’s already happening and choosing sustainability anyway.
